Computer/Internet Usage Policy
-File Naming - all saved projects should have the following title: first initial last name(period)Class Abbreviation(period)Project
Example: JDoe.GD.Logo
When leaving computer lab make sure to close all open programs, push chair in,
leaving your area neat and tidy.
Access to the District’s internal network and the Internet must be for the purpose of education or research, and be consistent with the educational objectives of the school and in compliance with the PBL Acceptable Usage Policy.
The use of the District’s network, and the Internet is a privilege, not a right, and inappropriate use will result in the lose of those privileges. It should be used for promoting educational excellence by creating resource sharing, communication, learning and research.
The student is responsible for his or her actions involving the school computers, the District’s network, or the Internet.
Some unacceptable uses of the schools computers, the District’s internal network or the Internet are:
1. Any illegal activity- including violation of copyright.
2. Personal email is prohibited. (unless given specific permission to check it)
3. Downloading of any kind without authorization.
4. Wastefully using resources such as file space, processor time, or network time, including any use that hinders, delays or obstructs others in their use of school computers, the District’s internal network, or the Internet.
5. Invading the privacy of others
6. Submitting, posting, publishing, or displaying any material which is intentionally inaccurate, abusive, obscene, sexually oriented, threatening, racially offensive, harassing, or accessing material which is obscene, profane, or sexually oriented..
7. Use of computing facilities knowingly to disrupt the work of another student, faculty member, school official or any other person or entity.
